Inverse Time Curve Relay with Instantaneous

                  Overcurrent Protection

              EOCRS

Introduction

1) Inverse Time Current Curve
2) Adjustable Trip Curves(1-5 seconds) at 600% of load
3) Adjustable Instantaneous Overcurrent Protection
4) Visually Verify Actual Load Current(No Ammeter required)
5) Trip Indication(LED)
6) Remote Electrical Reset
7) High Tension Motors and Substation Protection

Description

Two of three phase motor currents are monitored by current transformers.
The internal solid state circuitry compares the actual load current with
the preset load current set by the load knob(LOAD).
The trip time setting is selected at the curve, based on 600% of load.
The instantaneous overcurrent protection is set with currents in Amperes
at "Shock" knob and the trip time is 0.03 seconds. With any change above
the preset overload in load current due to overload or single phasing,
the red LED will illuminate, indicating an overload condition exists.
SPDT relay switches contact after the trip delay, depending on trip curve,
and red LED remains illuminated until manual or remote electrical reset
by interrupting supply, is initiated. With visual aid of red LED, actual load current
can be determined(no ammeter required). Simply adjust load knob anti-clockwise until
red LED flickers. The red LED flashes at 100% of the preset load current.
Test button provides the means of testing the serviceability and integrity of the unit.
The internal output relay remains energized in normal operating
condition(fail-safe protection, N Type),
and switches to tripped state, in case of trouble, control supply lost,
or system failure. Manual or remote electrical reset by interrupting control power,
is possible. Fixed voltage type standard : 110VAC, 220 to 240VAC,
other voltages are optional, 50/60Hz. Red LED for overload,
and Green LED for Instantaneous overcurrent trip indication.

How to set up

1) Find the proper time curve at the characteristics curve, based on 600% of the load. Set the
Time Knob to the desired trip time.
2) Set the load knob to the rated full load amperes. Set the desired instantaneous overcurrent
level at the Shock Knob to the desired trip currents.
3) With the control power on, depress the TEST button and hold. Verify red LED illuminates
and internal output relay trips. Then reset.
4) Energize the load and turn the Load Knob slowly CCW, until the red LED flashing, where the
actual load current is indicated. Then set the Load Knob to the desired set point.
5) Periodic testing of TEST button is recommended to ensure the full protection and regularly
    as a Preventive Maintenance.
