Electronic Overload Relay with Terminals

         EOCR-SE

Introduction

1) Overload and Phase Loss Protection
2) Visual load Setting Aid and Verify Actual Load Current. (No Ammeter Required)
3) Trip Indication (LED) and Fail-safe protection (N Type)
4) Flexible Power Supply (90 to 260VAC or 320 to 480VAC)
5) Remote Electrical Reset
6) Built-in Terminals for ease of connection

Description

Two of three phase motor currents are monitored by current transformers.
CTs form integral part of the relay, and external CTs are required for currents above 60Amps.
The internal solid state circuitry compares actual motor current with preset load current,
set by Load Knob. Any changes greater than the preset load current,
due to either overload or single phasing, the red LED illuminates,
indicating overload condition exists. If the current level does not fall off below set value until
the elapse of delay time, SPDT relay changes state.
The red LED remains illuminated indicating an overload trip has occurred. The relay may be reset
manually or remote electrically by interrupting power supply. With the visual aid of the red LED,
actual motor load current may be determined (no Ammeter required).
Simply adjust the load knob slowly CCW until red LED flickers, and read the current scale.
The flashing red LED indicates 100% of actual load current.
The test button provides the means of testing the operation and integrity of
the relay with or without motor running, when TEST button is depressed and held,
red LED illuminates and the relay should trip after the delay time set at delay time Knob.
Built-in convenience terminals are provided for ease of connection(No internal connections).

How to set up

1) Set the single delay time knob to desired trip delay time,
minimum equal to completion of normal starting.
2) When commissioning the relay or motor, set the load currents
at least over the full load amperes.
3) With the control power on, depress the TEST button and hold.
The LED should illuminate and after the elapse of the preset delay time,
the output relay should trip. Then reset.
4) Start the load, and slowly turn the LOAD Knob CCW, until the LED flashes,
where the 100% of actual load currents is indicated.
Then, set the trip setting to the desired load currents.
5) The periodic testing of the unit, using TEST button is required to ensure
full protection, and regularly as a Preventive Maintenance.
