DIRECT CURRENT LIMITER (DC OVERLOAD RELAY)

Introduction
1) DC Overload Protection
2) Stepless Adjustable Overload
3) Stepless Adjustable Trip Delay Time
4) Shunt or Hole Sensor Type Optional
5) Electronic Shear-pin function
6) Visual Current Setting Aid and Trip indication (LED)
Description
The millivolt signals generated from the Shunt terminals are sensed by solid
state circuitry and compared with the preset overload level. If the overload
condition is detected, red LED illuminates and internal SPDT relay switches
contact
after the preset delay. red LED remains illuminated indicating an overload
trip
has occurred, until Reset is initiated manually or remote electrically by
interrupting supply.
The internal relay remains de-energized, in normal state, and swithes
contacts, when tripped. With the proper size of the shunt, hunderds of amperes
of the load currents can be monintored. The actual load currents can be determined
(no Ammeter required). Simply adjust load knob anti-clockwise until red LED
flashes.
red LED flashes at 100% of actual load current. Test button is provided to
test the operation
and integrity of the device with or without load. The control voltage is 100/220(200-240)VAC,
50/60HZ, dual standrd, and 24/48VAC/DC, and other voltage are Optional.
optional hole Sensor type detects current indirectly without contacting load
circuit.
How to set up
1) Set Load Knob to higher the 100% of the full load current
millivolts level.
2) Set the Operating Time Knob to the desired trip time.
3) With the control power on, depress the Test button and
hold. Verify the red LED illuminates.
4) After the preset delay, internal relay should switch
contacts. Reset with Reset button.
5) Apply the power to the load, and turn the Load knob slowly
anti-clockwise, until the LED starts
flashing where the 100% of the actual load is indicated.
Set the load knob to the desired setting.
6) Periodic testing of Test button is recommended to ensure
full protection and regularly as a Preventive maintenance.
